Rest In Peace Damian Turner 9/28/91 - 8/15/2010
Damian Turner was one of the founders of STOP's youth wing - Fearless Leading by the Youth (FLY). He was a talented musician, a beautiful person, a consistent and energetic leader in the struggle for human rights. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time last Saturday night and caught a bullet in the back during a drive-by shooting on 61st and Cottage Grove. He will be dearly missed and always remembered by the entire STOP family... Please send donations to his mother, Sheila Rush at 736 E. 61st St Chicago, IL 60637

Save Our Mental Health Clinics!
Join the Mental Health Movement!

After an intense campaign culminating in a sit-in at City Hall this spring, we stopped the four threatened southside mental health clinics from being closed, getting $2.5 million in stimulus money to keep them open. But to keep the clinics open we need the staffing to be restored to former levels so the billing can be fixed and the patients can receieve the attention they need and deserve.
